Sun Engineering were contracted to refurbish and recommission the Ginkgo Sand Mine Pontoon near Wentworth in New South Wales. This project included carrying out general repairs and recommissioning of existing modules, and manufacturing replacement parts/modules which were then constructed on-site. Sun Engineering removed residual water, sludge, and slurry prior to constructing the 6 spiral modules, 9 surge bin modules, manhole hatches and pontoon stilling tubes which were sandblasted and painted prior to installation.
