The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards of 2022 were held on October 5th, 2022, where Sun Engineering was announced as a finalist in the category of Resources and Energy, and winner in the category of Manufacturing and Advanced Materials. Our CEO, Mark McMonagle attended the event with Liam McMonagle, Project Administrator.
As defined by the Trade & Investment Queensland Website, the criterion for this award is defined by: “outstanding international success in manufacturing, engineering and/or advanced materials development”, and winning this award would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff and support from our supply chain network.
The year of 2022 also marked the 20-year anniversary for Sun Engineering expanding their operations overseas and exporting their quality products to over 30 countries and we continue to build upon and expand our international relations with both clients and contractors.
Some of the major projects that Sun Engineering were involved with in 2022 included: Breakfast Creek Bridge in Brisbane, shutdown construction works for Harmony and Barrick Gold, the expansion of Ravenswood Gold Mine in Queensland and various steel bridge refurbishments for Queensland Rail in the Brisbane Area.
